🚀 Chicago, the home of innovation and tech, is the perfect place to kick off this initiative. In partnership with nonprofits and companies who are passionate about supporting underserved talent, we’ll build more equitable pathways to tech careers through mentorship and career development.
At Wevise, we make tech careers more accessible through free, on-demand mentorship and career development for everyone, focusing on supporting underserved communities.
The Chicago TechPath Alliance is a group of nonprofits and corporations coming together to level the playing field in tech for people from underserved and marginalized communities, organized by Wevise.
In 2025, the Alliance will provide career development, networking, and support for 150 adult participants entering their first tech job through a free six-month program.
We’re seeking technology-focused Chicago nonprofit and corporate Alliance members to partner on this program. The program includes:
- Mentor and mentee training
- 6 months using the Wevise online mentorship platform, connecting people with similar lived experiences
- 6 career-focused workshops/events
- Networking, support, and engagement throughout the program
- Mentor program training for Alliance members
