At Wevise, our volunteers are the heart of everything we do. Each month, we highlight one individual whose dedication, energy, and passion for our mission inspires us all. For July, Rebecca Randle, Wevise’s Chicago TechPath Program Manager, is honored as our Volunteer of the Month.
Rebecca’s journey with Wevise is both inspiring and deeply personal. She first connected with the organization’s mission because of her own lived experience: in 2020, she completed a career-shaping apprenticeship program that changed the trajectory of her professional life. “I joined Wevise because the mission deeply resonated with me,” she said. “I know firsthand how life-changing these opportunities can be. Giving back through Wevise felt like a full-circle moment.”
In her role as Chicago TechPath Program Manager, Rebecca oversees logistics for the TechPath Alliance, ensuring the moving pieces behind the scenes run seamlessly. From coordinating with nonprofit partners to supporting mentees and mentors, she’s a driving force in making sure the program creates meaningful impact in Chicago’s growing tech community.
Rebecca pointed to the relationships she’s built at Wevise as one of the most fulfilling aspects of the role. “Volunteer work can be stressful at times, but it’s also incredibly rewarding,” she explained. “I’m really proud of the relationships I’ve built both within the Wevise team and with our nonprofit partners.”
She highlighted the recent Code Your Dreams workshop in Chicago as an especially important moment. At the event, she met with mentees in person and witnessed them actively participating. “It brought so much joy to my heart,” she added. “No matter how small my role may feel at times, I’m proud to contribute to something with real impact.”
Rebecca brings passion to the role, but deep experience as well. She works as a Senior Marketing & Events Specialist at a consulting firm in Chicago and has a long-term background in event management. After the hospitality industry experienced a downturn due to the COVID-19 pandemic, she pivoted into the tech field following her apprenticeship. While she eventually returned to the event management space in her current role, she gained valuable experience leading enablement and internal operations at a SaaS company.
“All of my experience has led me to where I am today and I try to channel that into being the best version of myself possible,” she said.
In addition to being a valuable member of the Wevise team and an essential part of the Chicago TechPath mission, Rebecca is devoted to her two adorable cats, Chuckie and Angelica. When she’s not furthering the Wevise mission, she’s reading, traveling and dabbling in photography. Congratulations to Rebecca Randle, the July 2025 Volunteer of the Month!
