Position Summary
Wevise is seeking a highly organized, execution-driven Chief of Staff to help keep our team focused, on track, and moving forward. This volunteer role serves as a strategic and operational partner to the CEO—ensuring projects stay on schedule, priorities are clear, and our vision is translated into measurable action. As a part-time force for structure and accountability, you’ll act as a “task master” behind the scenes: tracking progress, surfacing roadblocks, and keeping the momentum alive across a fast-paced, all-volunteer team working to democratize mentorship and tech career access.
Key Responsibilities
Drive Execution
- Keep projects on track by coordinating timelines, assigning tasks, and ensuring key deliverables are completed.
- Monitor progress across teams, identify delays or gaps, and help resolve blockers.
- Create and maintain a follow-up system to ensure decisions translate into action.
Enable Operational Focus
- Establish a consistent weekly rhythm (e.g., check-ins, status updates) to keep priorities clear and aligned.
- Improve coordination across functional areas to reduce friction and duplication.
- Implement lightweight systems and tools that help volunteers work smarter, not harder.
Support CEO & Leadership
- Prepare quick summaries, internal updates, or tracking dashboards to increase visibility and accountability.
- Provide a second set of eyes on operational decisions and how they’re communicated and executed.
(Optional) Board & Stakeholder Coordination
- Lead preparation of board materials or stakeholder updates, as time permits.
- Track external commitments and ensure timely communication and follow-through.
